Silent Tears

Silent tears. Deepest pain.
How long will you stay with nothing to gain?
I'll carry you as long as I must.
It's the only way to make it just.
A broken heart will play the part
Until Someone mends my broken heart.
Bella, my sweet, I miss you my wonderful pet.
A miracle could bring you home to me yet.
Silent tears. Deepest pain.
How long will you stay with nothing to gain?

Even though the following was a parable God used to show David his own sin and faults, it is also comforting to know that God even knows how much a pet can mean to us and how much it grieves us to lose our pet. Also, it makes me think of how God gave the precious Lamb for our salvation. I think it may be a 'type of Christ'. There are many in the Old Testament.

And He sent Nathan the prophet to tell this story to David: A rich man and a poor man lived in the same town. The rich man owned a lot of sheep and cattle, but the poor man had only one little lamb that he had bought and raised. The lamb became a pet for him and his children. He even let it eat from his plate and drink from his cup and sleep on his lap. The lamb was like one of his own children. (2 Samuel 12:1-3 CEV) If your heart is broken, you'll find GOD right there; if you're kicked in the gut, he'll help you catch your breath. (Psalm 34:18 MSG)

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY! Remember that Jesus is the greatest love of all. I read this morning in Psalm 34:18 that God is near to the brokenhearted. I love the MSG rendering of that verse. It says: "If your heart is broken, you'll find GOD right there; if you're kicked in the gut, he'll help you catch your breath." Love it!
